His Royal Highness King Alfonso XIII was a self-confessed automobile lover who showed his support for Elizalde on several occasions. In the spring of 1924 he toured the Elizalde facility, a benchmark in Spanish industry.

The Barcelona factory
In 2017, the Foundation published the book authored by Manuel Garriga, which describes, in a wealth of detail, the family’s history and all the types and models of vehicles and aircraft engines manufactured at Elizalde. The first edition was a limited 250 print run.
