ELIZALDE TYPES

TYPE 30 C

This model was derived directly from the Type 30 Grand Tourer and had been developed «to cater to 40-seat bus orders, as well as for delivery vans and cars with a rated service load of up to 4 tons» (some sources place this capacity at 4,500 kg and Ciuró even at 5,000 kg). Its 3.8-litre engine was identical to the Type 30 private car with the same 75 hp.

One of the particularities of the Type 30 C lay in its transmission, which had two cardans and «four normal gears and four slow gears for heavy work and towing». The distance between the axles on the chassis was 5 metres, with a total length of almost 8 metres. The dual rear wheels were fitted with the largest tyres on the market.

Although it still featured in the 1925 catalogue, the report published by the brand for the First National Automotive Congress in July 1926 no longer mentioned it. In its stead, the 24/30 appears, «a model studied for an Official Centre, with a chassis suitable for 30 occupants or a lorry with a rated load of three tons», probably commissioned expressly by the army.
